In Sight, Out of Sight was a project I did as a part of Ninety Bears Arts Collective for Nuit Blanche Edmonton in September 2015. In Sight, Out of Sight was composed of three clusters of signs placed in the downtown core of Edmonton. Each cluster consisted of 5 signs with text. The text was retroreflective and needed a light source such as a flashlight or flash photography to be read.
People on the Path
People on the Path is a collaborative art installation that I co-facilitated as an organizer with Climate Justice Edmonton. The project consists of 8 foot tall painted portraits of over 20 people that call Treaty 6, 7, and 8 (Alberta) home, who each shared their hopes and desires for a just and sustainable future. Over 50 people contributed to the project in many different ways including outreach, painting, construction and promotion. Over 25 people contributed specifically to painting the portraits.
People on the Path strives to create a new narrative for Alberta: one that upholds Indigenous rights, puts workers first, and honours our obligations to the land and to each other.
